Bernice Vierling Obituary


Bernice L. Vierling, 104, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at Morristown Manor.
Born August 25, 1914 in Laurel, Indiana, she was the daughter of Glenn Bare and Stella (Reardon)
Bare.  She married Anthony Vierling on March 5, 1935 and he preceded her on August 20, 1991.
Survivors include 5 children- Dixie Voegele of Batesville, William R. Vierling (wife Margaret) of Ft. Pierce,
Florida, James E. Vierling of Shelbyville, Diana Sue Barnhardt (husband Michael) of Lake Hallie, Wisconsin,
Theresa Taggart (husband Michael) of Shelbyville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was
preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, children Virginia Kellems, Richard Vierling, Barbara Walsman,
Jack Vierling, Donald Vierling, Gary Vierling, 2 grandchildren, and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Vierling had lived in this area her entire lifetime, and was a home  maker.  She was a member of American
Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary.
Bernice enjoyed sewing, embroidery, working puzzles, playing the lottery, and spending time with her family 
and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd, with Pastor Robb Barlow officiating.  Burial will be in
Forest Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call on Friday afternoon from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
