Bonnie Hasecuster Obituary


Bonnie J. Hasecuster, 85, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at OUR Hospice
Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Born June 24, 1933 in Frankfort, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Alvin Puckett and Ida Elizabeth
(Perkins) Padgett.  Her father passed away when she was 3 years old and she was raised by her
stepfather Rev. Edgar Dale Padgett.  She married Frederick H. "Fred" Hasecuster  on October 28, 1953
and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter Debbie Westermann (companion Steve Carwein) of Shelbyville; sister
Linda Workman (husband Cecil) of Columbus; granddaughter Dana Sipes (husband Aaron) of Shelbyville;
and 3 great grandchildren- Jonah, Isaac, & Daniel Sipes.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister
Joyce Pittman, and infant grandson Douglas Westermann.
Mrs. Hasecuster had lived in this area for most of her lifetime, and attended Hope High School.  She had 
been employed at Cunningham Gardens and Applebee's of Shelbyville for several years, and also was a 
home maker and babysat for neighborhood children for many years.  She was a member  of Hartsville United 
Methodist Church, a 50 year member of Waldron Order of Eastern Star, where she was a ,mother advisor to 
the Rainbow Girls, and a member of Friendly Fennetts Home Ec Club.
Bonnie loved babies and children and enjoyed caring for them.  She and Fred enjoyed traveling in earlier days,
 listening to Country Music, spending time with her best friend and daughter Debbie, and loved the weekly outings 
with her sister and friends.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437
Amos Road, with Pastor Ed Mohr officiating.  Burial will be in Second Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Johnson County.
Visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to OUR Hospice of South Central Indiana, in care of the funeral  home.
