Brenda Taylor Obituary


Brenda Kay Taylor, 75, of Flat Rock, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Waldron 
Health Care.
Born May 10, 1944 in Madison County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Fred Calvin Cottrell
and Leonore (Boots) Cottrell.  She married Earl Taylor Jr. on September 1, 1962 and he survives.
Other survivors include children- William Michael Taylor (wife Laura Stieneker) of Shelbyville, Cindy
Lee (Isaac) Drake (husband Larry) of Shelbyville, Cora Sue Bowman (husband Greg) of Greensburg; 
brother Michael Dean Cottrell of Shelbyville; 8 grandchildren- Trenton Taylor,Bradley Taylor (wife Jennifer),
Lucy Ann Furiak, Lee Dale, Myke Isaac (wife Christy), Sarah Isaac (husband Cory), Darrin Isaac (wife
Natalie), Casey Knepp (husband Mark); 7 great grandchildren- Benjamin, Andrew, & Hollie Isaac, Harper & 
Bennett Knepp, Nash Zimmerman, & Norah Taylor.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 siblings-
Emile Lee Cottrell, Charles Perry Cottrell, & Connie Joe Cottrell. 
Mrs. Taylor had lived in this area for 57 years, and attended Hancock Central High School.  She was a member 
of Geneva United Methodist Church, Bear Paw Quilter's Guild, and was a Major Hospital volunteer.  She was
a homemaker, had worked at the Garment Factory for several years, provided child care for several years, and 
also worked at Taylor's Auction in Geneva and Wilson's Corner.
Brenda enjoyed "picking" for flea markets, quilting, attending her grandchildren's sporting and school events, and 
spending time with family, friends, and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437
Amos Road, with Pastor Mark Dodd officiating.  Burial will be in Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery.  Friends may call
on Thursday evening, September 19, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Bear Paw Quilt Guild, in care of the funeral home.
