Charles McDaniel Obituary


Charles G. McDaniel, 75, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at OUR Hospice
Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Born June 18, 1943 in Tennessee, he was the son of Henry McDaniel and Ethel
(Chenault) McDaniel.  He married Betty (Gomez) McDaniel on June 25, 1971 and
she preceded him on October 30, 2014.
Survivors include 3 sons- Joe Collier of Shelbyville, Tony Collier (wife Tracey) of Morristown,
Charlie McDaniel (wife Kimmie) of Franklin, a daughter Debbie Peck of Shelbyville; brother
Bobby McDaniel of Missouri, sister Jan McDaniel of Shelbyville; 10 grandchildren, and one
great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, brother Jamie McDaniel,
and grandson Chad Collier.
Mr. McDaniel lived in this area for most of his lifetime, and attended Shelbyville High School.
He was an owner/operator truck driver for several different trucking companies, including Hall
Bros.Transportation for many years.  He was a US Air Force veteran.
Charles enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife Betty, and spending time with his family
and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral
Home, 437 Amos Road.  Burial will be in  Forest Hill
Cemetery.  Friends may call on Monday morning from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service.

Memorial contributions can be made to OUR Hospice of South Central Indiana, in care of the funeral
home.
