Dorothy Louise Wintin

Dorothy Louise Wintin, 99,  former Manilla resident, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019
at Morristown Manor.
Born June 17, 1919 in Rush County, she was the daughter of Clarence Scull and Faye
(Westerfield) Scull.  She married Chester S. Wintin on January 25, 1948 and he preceded
her on November 10, 1974.
Survivors include several cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her spouse.
Mrs. Wintin had lived most of her life in the Manilla area.  She was a high school graduate, and 
also graduated from Indiana Beauty College, then went on to own and operate Dot's Beauty Shop 
for 35 years, retiring in 1973.  She was a member of Big Flat Rock Christian Church, Indiana 
Volunteer Fireman's Auxiliary, and a former member of Manilla Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies
Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral
Home, 437 Amos Road.  Burial will be in Manilla Cemetery.  Friends may call on  Thursday from 11:00 am
until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Manilla Cemetery Association, in care of the funeral home.
