James M. Guthrie

James M. Guthrie, 76 of Shelbyville, IN passed away January 16, 2020 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, IN.
He was born July 15, 1943 in Ashland, OH the son of the late James and Myrtie Magdelene "Peg" (McIntire) Guthrie.
He was a resident of Shelbyville for the past 13 years, previously living in Columbus, OH.
James was an attorney, working as the Senior Assistant for the Attorney General for the State of Ohio for 39 years.
He was a graduate of Ohio State University an avid supporter and alumni of the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a member of
the Ashland (OH) Country Club.
He also was an avid golfer, having played at 92 of the top 100 golf courses in the world.
He is survived by his cousins, Jamie (Lisa) Scripture of Batesville, IN; David (Ingrid) Scripture of Greensburg, IN;
Tammy (Mike) Wagner of Shelbyville, IN and numerous other cousins and Caregiver, Lori Craig of Shelbyville, IN.
Visitation for James will be on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM in Glenn E. George Funeral Home
106 E. Franklin St., St. Paul, IN.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 1:00PM in the funeral home at St. Paul.
Memorial contributions may be offered to the Union Chapel Cemetery, Decatur County, IN.
