Joey L. Cowen

Joey L. Cowen, 50, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 
in Frankfort, Indiana.
Born December 26, 1968 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Paul Wayne and
Freda (Sweet) Cowen.  
Survivors include 3 children- Vincent Cowen, Lillian Cowen, and Brooklynn Cowen,
all of Shelbyville; 2 sisters- Sue Theobald (husband Larry) of Shelbyville, Janice
Baker of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death
by his parents, 2 brothers- Gary & Eugene Cowen, and a nephew Dustin Cowen.
Mr. Cowen had lived in this area his entire lifetime, and graduated from Shelbyville
High School.  He was a truck driver for PKG Express of Shelbyville, and had 
previously worked at Ryobi Die Casting for 12 years, and was night manager with
Cagney's for over 20 years.  
Joey was an avid KISS fan, and enjoyed cooking and gardening.  His family and
children meant the world to him.
Funeral services will be 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Glenn E. George
& Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Tony Meads officiating.  Friends
may call on Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm until the time of the service.  Burial will
be in Miller Cemetery.
