Joyce A. Hurley, 74, of St. Paul, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at Aperion
Care in Waldron.
Born March 12, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of Robert Edward Howard
and Macy Lena (Bush) Howard.
Survivors include her companion of 21 years Paul Posz of Shelbyville; daughter Misty Brewer
(husband Kinsey) of St. Paul; 7 siblings- Ruth McKinney of Somerset, Kentucky, Bobby Howard
(wife Melissa) of Tennessee, Teddy Howard of Savannah, Georgia, Kenneth Howard of North
Carolina, Jeffrey Howard of Somerset, Kentucky, Stephanie Denny (husband Wayne) of Somerset,
Stephen Howard of Cincinnati, Ohio; one grandchild Rebecca Hurley of St. Paul; and one great
grandchild Benjamin Wilder of St. Paul. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters-
infant Brenda Carol Howard and Kimberley Brumley, and grandson Benjamin Austin Ploeger.
Mrs. Hurley had lived in this area for 50 years, after moving from Somerset. She attended
Somerset High School and was a long time member of American Quarter Horse Association.
She owned and operated Triangle Storage in St. Paul for 25 years.
Joyce enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, flowers, and horses. She dearly loved her family,
granddaughter, and great grandson.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral
Home, 437 Amos Road, with visitation there from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
