Judy Meal Obituary


Judy Kay Meal, 71, of Rushville, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at her residence.
Born November 1, 1947 in Fairland, she was the daughter of William Harrell and Mary Jane 
(Magee) Towns.  She married Norman Meal on December 9, 1978 and he survives.
Other survivors include a son- Kyle Meal (wife Katrina) of Rushville; sister Terri Wood of Waldron, 
brother William Harrell of Michigan; niece Tammy McElhinney; 4 grandchildren- Shay, Kendra, Autum,
and Brayden.  She was preceded in death by her parents, step father Jack Towns, and a son Aaron Meal.
Mrs. Meal had lived in Rushville for 18 years, after moving from the St. Paul area.  She graduated from
Triton Central High School in 1965, was a member of Waldron Methodist Church, and former president
of Waldron Little League baseball.  She had been a secretary for American Family Insurance in Rushville
for several years, and had also worked in the office at Culligan in Shelbyville for several years.
Judy dearly loved her family, vacationing in Tennessee, watching sports with her husband, and took great 
pride in her grandchildren and her little dog Bubbles.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, January 28, 2019 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home,
437 Amos Road, with Pastor Warren Engel officiating.  Burial will be in Vienna Cemetery.  Friends may
call on Sunday afternoon, January 27, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Vienna Cemetery Fund, in care of the funeral home.
