Max Brandt Obituary


Max A. Brandt, 70, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at his residence.
Born August 28, 1948 in Shelbyville, he was the son Morris H. Brandt and Evelyn S.
(Sutherlin) Brandt.  He married Jane Ann (Hoban) Brandt on August 9, 1970 and she
passed away on October 3, 2009.
Survivors include a daughter- Amanda Smiley (husband Rick) of Indianapolis, son- A. Jason
Brandt (wife Natasha) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother Kenny Brandt (wife Linda) of
Shelbyville; friend Theresa Blackman of Elizabeth, Indiana; 5 grandchildren- Molly Smiley, 
Kaitlyn Smiley, Emma Smiley, Olivia Brandt, and Noah Brandt.  He was preceded in death by
 his parents, his spouse, and 2 brothers- Dennis Brandt and Michael Brandt.
Mr. Brandt had lived in this area his entire lifetime, and graduated from Waldron High School in 1966.
He worked in sales with Hillman Fasteners of Cincinnati for several years, and was also a self employed
computer technician for Shelby Eastern Schools for several years.
Max loved photography and traveling.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, May 17, 2019 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437
Amos Road, with Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating.  Friends may call on Thursday evening, May 16, 2019,
from 4:00 - 8:00 pm.  Burial will be in Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to OUR Hospice of South Central Indiana, in care of the funeral home.
