Nile D. Coers

Nile D. Coers, 83, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019
at St. Francis Hospital.
Born December 12, 1936 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Russell Coers and
Mildred (Kuhn) Coers.  He married Susan (Meiks) Coers on December 22, 1970
and she survives.
Other survivors include 2 sisters- Christine Laird of Shelbyville, Nancy Brazier 
(husband Dave) of New Hampshire; and seven nieces and nephews.  He was
preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Linda Mann.
Mr. Coers had lived in this area his entire lifetime, and graduated from Shelbyville 
High School in 1954.  He had been a lifelong self employed farmer.  He was an
active member of Little Blue River Baptist Church, and had served in the Indiana
National Guard.
Nile enjoyed traveling, water skiing, woodworking, and playing cards.  He was an
avid Chicago Cubs fan, and loved spending time with his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be 12:00 noon on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at
Little Blue River Baptist Church, 3515 N. 500 E., with Pastor Ken Morgan officiating.
Friends may call at the church from 10:00 am until the  time of the service.
