Patsy L. Buckler, 89, of Shelbyville, passes away Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Homeview
Health & Rehab in Franklin.
Born November 7, 1929 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Francis "Onie" Gahimer
and Mary A. (Armstrong) Gahimer. She married Leonard Buckler on May 29, 1947 and he
preceded her on August 27, 1999.
Survivors include 3 sons- Stephen Buckler of Whiteland, Terry Buckler of Shelbyville, David
Buckler (wife Robin) of Franklin; 4 daughters- Bonnie Wagerman of Shelbyville, Kathy Pumphrey
(husband Danny) of Franklin, Rhonda Shelton of Columbus, Cindy Rottinghouse (husband
Steve) of Franklin; 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, 3 sons- Robert Buckler, Michael J. Buckler,
and an infant son; brother Robert Gahimer, 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and son-in-law
Roy Shelton.
Mrs. Buckler was a lifetime resident of this area and graduated from Shelbyville High School in
1947. She had worked in the business office at Franklin College in Franklin for 27 years, retiring
in 2003.
Patsy loved watching game shows and basketball (especially IU) on TV.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Glenn E. George & Son
Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Professor David Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Lewis
Creek Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 10:00am
until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
