Peggy L. Taylor, 82, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at OUR Hospice
Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Born May 22, 1936 in Rushville, she was the daughter of James Edward Harper and Mildred
Lucille Powell. She married Lloyd E. Taylor on July 2, 1967 and he preceded her on
September 25, 2018.
Survivors include daughter Darla McQueen of New Palestine, 2 sons- Richard L. Taylor (wife
Cathy) of Fairland, Scott W. Taylor (wife Diane) of Florida; 2 sisters- Nancy Neeb (husband Pete)
of Shelbyville, Janet Loveless of Shelbyville; 11 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and 3 brothers.
Mrs. Taylor had lived in this area most of her lifetime, and had been employed as production
controller at Naval Avionics of Indianapolis for many years, retiring in 1998. She graduated from
Manilla High School.
Peggy loved volunteering at Heartland Hospital and Winter Haven Elementary School, and giving
to others. She was a prankster and a very kind, loving lady. She dearly loved her dog Lexi.
There will be a graveside service at Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.
