Robert Crain Obituary


Robert Eugene Crain, age 69 of St. Paul, IN passed away on February 19, 2019 at his residence.
He was born May 12, 1949 in Bartholomew County (IN) the son of the late Elbert L. Crain and Gladys
Marcille (Shirley) Crain Roarks, who survives.
He married Peggy L. (Shafer) Crain on Oct. 16, 1971 and she survives.
Robert worked for 20 years as a Welder / Fabricator for Hoffco-Comet in Richmond, IN retiring in 2004.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to fish and hunt. He loved his family and
enjoyed watching humming birds.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy L. (Shafer) Crain; his children, Anisa G. (Doug) Hillman of
Deshler, NE and Jason R. (Jill) Crain of Hope, IN; his grandchildren, Charlie (Pam) Buckles and Hunter
Crain; a great grandson Blaine Robert Buckles his mother, Gladys Marcille (Shirley) Crain Roarks of Waldron, IN; 
his siblings, Leon and Eric Crain along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by
his father Elbert L. Crain and a sister, Gladys Marie Gordon.
Visitation for Robert will be Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 10:00AM until service time at 2:00PM at
Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin St., St. Paul, IN. Officiating will be Chaplain Jimmy Collins.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 17th St. Columbus, IN 47201.
