Roger A. New Jr., 39, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Shelby County.
Born February 14, 1980 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Roger A. New, Sr. and Terri (Weaver)
New.
Survivors include his parents of Shelbyville, children Jameson, Aleah & Justice all of Shelbyville; brother Travis New &
wife of Fishers; his favorite Aunt Shelly and many other aunts, uncles and cousins whom he loved 
very much. He also loved his best friends Brandon, Eric and Craig more than they ever knew. He was
preceded in death by his grandparents Homer & Amy New, & Jesse and Lillian Weaver.
Roger had lived in this area his entire lifetime and attended Shelbyville High School.
He worked with his father in the New Construction drywall business.
Roger Jr. loved drag racing with his family and friends. He was very skilled racer and won
numerous championships. He also loved helping his father coach his son Jameson in baseball,
and spending time with his daughters Aleah and Justice.  He loved his children with all his heart.
Roger had the biggest heart that anyone that was close to him felt every time they thought
of him. Rest in peace my son.
Funeral services will be 3:00pm on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Glenn E. George & Son
Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Rev. David Benefiel officiating. Friends may call on
Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Shelbyville Boys Club or Shelby Co. Babe Ruth
Baseball in care of the funeral home.
