Shirley LeClercq Obituary


Shirley Ann Leclercq, age 75 of Franklin, IN formerly of Shelbyville, IN passed away September 4, 2019
at Otterbein Senior Life in Franklin, IN. She was born in Chicago, IL April 15, 1944 the daughter of the late
Cyril Kurnat and Lavern (Brinkman) Slukis. She married Richard A. Leclercq in 1961 and her preceded her 
in death in 2017.
Shirley is survived by her children, Richard R. (Wife Cynthia) Leclercq of Franklin; Ronald A. Leclercq of Chicago;
Danielle Leclercq of Madison, IN; Kimberly (Husband William) Rusnak of Illinois. Her siblings Michael Slukis
of Arizona; Debbie (Dave) Williams of Illinois; Kathy (Jody) Bullock of Indiana; Larry Slukis of Illinois and
Roberta Slukis of Tennessee. She also is survived by 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Parents, 1-Brother Bill Kurnat; and 1 grandson, Justice Leclercq.
Shirley had lived in this area for 20 years after living in Illinois.
She was a Courier with Johnson County Memorial Hospital.
Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 2:00pm at Glenn E. George and Son
Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd., Shelbyville, IN with Rev. David Humphrey officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until time of service.
Burial at Whispering Hope Cemetery, Shelbyville, IN.
