Stephen D. "Tuck" Tucker, 69, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019
at Waldron Health & Rehab.
Born January 8, 1950 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Dale Wayne Tucker and Barbara (Yeager) Tucker.
Survivors include 3 children- Kelly Sue Tucker of Columbia, Missouri, Rodney Shane Tucker (wife Nelda)
of Columbia, Shannon Tucker (fiancé Todd Weaver) of St. Paul; six siblings- Dee Dover (husband Keith)
of Adams, Kathy Perry of Shelbyville, Toni Whittenbarger (husband Rich) of Shelbyville, Marcie Gephart
of Waldron, Jani Dych of Shelbyville,Daniel Tucker (wife Pam) of Shelbyville; special friend Lois Helfer of
Shelbyville; 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Tucker was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Waldron High School in 1968. He was
a member of Lewis Creek Baptist Church, and had been employed in construction and concrete finishing
for several years. He had previously been a bartender at the former Blue River Inn for 15 years.
Tuck always had a crazy joke for anyone who would listen, and loved teasing people. He enjoyed camping
with his family, working crossword puzzles, playing pool, bowling, cooking, playing euchre, and was an avid
Beatles fan.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, February 1, 2019, at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437
Amos Road, with Pastor Ed Mohr officiating. Friends may call on Friday morning from 11:00 am until the
time of the service. Burial will be in Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery.
