Treva Kimery Obituary


Treva J. Kimery, 77, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at Ashford Place Health Campus.
Born April 29, 1941 in Monclova, Ohio, she was the daughter of Lloyd Sommers and Helena (Bordner) Sommers.
She married Richard Kimery on February 19, 1967 and he survives.
Other survivors include 2 sons- Matt Kimery (wife Veronica) of Orlando, Florida, Sam Kimery (wife Melani) of Los Angeles, 
California; sister Aloha Landwerlen of Plainfield; several nieces and nephews including niece Tonja Linkel Smith who 
lived with Treva and Dick for several years; 3 grandchildren- Vincent Kimery, Kirk Kimery, and Honey Kimery.  She was 
preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Trilby Watson.
Mrs. Kimery had lived in this area for 65 years, after moving from Ohio.  She graduated from Morristown High School in 
1960, and was a member of West Street United Methodist Church, and Sigma Beta Sorority, Alpha Iota Chapter.  She 
was a home maker.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at West Street United Methodist Church, 629 South 
West Street, with Rev. Reid Walker officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call on Tuesday evening,
February 26, 2019, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road. 
Memorial contributions can be made to West Street United Methodist Church, 629 South West Street, or Wheeler Mission,
in care of the funeral home.
