Amber Miller Obituary


Amber Lynn Miller, 68, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 at Franklin Meadows. Born October 4, 1953 in VanNuys California, she was the daughter of Kendall
Whitaker and Constance (Sovie) Whitaker.  She married Kerry T. Miller on April 12, 1986, and he survives.

Other survivors include 3 children- Tony Miani (wife Kenna) of Maryland, Tracy Powell (husband Jeff) of Shelbyville, Constance "Connie" Conner (husband Jeff) of Fountaintown; 2 brothers- Jerry Whitaker of San Diego California, Dan Whitaker (wife Alice) of San Diego; 9 grandchildren- Bryce, Devin, Samantha, Kirsten, Jack, Matthew, Jessica, Jennifer, Julia; and one great granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Miller had lived in this area since 1995, after moving from California.  She had been a respiratory therapist at several different area hospitals for 20 years.  She graduated from high school in California, and received and Associate's Degree in respiratory therapy.  She was a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church in Shelbyville. Amber enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 23, 2022   at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Amanda Matheny officiating.  Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery.  Friends may call on Saturday morning from 10:00 am until the time of the service, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Wheeler Mission, in care of the funeral home.
