Annette D. Poling, 58, of Greensburg, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at her residence.
Born December 26, 1961 in Winchester Indiana, she was the daughter of Hubert and Olive
Roberts. She married Darrell Poling on March 7, 1981 and he survives.
Other survivors include 3 children- Tonya Downey (husband Brandon) of New Point, Anika
Poling of Greensburg, Christopher Poling (wife Tasha) of Greensburg; 4 brothers- Mike Roberts
(wife Lisa) of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Justin Roberts (wife Marsi) of Kirkland, Indiana, Rodney Todd
of St. Augustine, Florida, David Todd (wife Alli) of York, South Carolina, 3 sisters- Joy Easton
(husband Randy) of Evansville, Rhonda Wassom (husband Mark) of Independence, Kentucky,
Julie Cook (Steve Auker) of Winchester; 3 grandchildren- Grayson Downey, Carson Downey,
and Kaden Houk. She was also survived by brothers and sisters in law Kevin & Sherry Poling,
Brian and Amy Poling, and Terry & Denise Wagner, all of Greensburg. She was preceded in
death by her parents, and birth mother Irene Fetta Collum.
Mrs. Poling had lived in this are for 33 years, after moving from Winchester. She had been
employed as office manager for Dr. Randall Miller, DDS of Shelbyville for 28 years. She graduated
from Winchester High School in 1980, and was also a graduate of Professional Career Institute,
class of 1994.
Annette was the extended hands of Christ, encouraging others with her card ministry, baking and serving.
She was very active in her church, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. Some of her
most treasured memories were taking her children and grandchildren ice skating and sledding. She
enjoyed family get togethers, where she was the life of the party. Annie's smile and infectious laugh
will live on forever.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Bethel Apostolic Church, 630 W.
Hendricks St., Greensburg, with Rev. Randall Easton & Rev. Todd Smith officiating. Visitation
will be Wednesday, June 10,2020 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the church and Thursday from 10:00am
until the time of the service. Burial will be in South Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greensburg High School Drama Club or
Foundation for Recovery in care of the funeral home.
