Candace S. "Candy" Durbin, 68, of Rushville, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021
at her residence.
Born July 25, 1952 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Loren Michael "Mike" Mann
and Edna Marie (Cherry) Mann.  She married Olin Durbin on March 20, 1971 and he survives.
Other survivors include 3 sons- Tevis Durbin (wife Jenny) of Indianapolis, Kevin Durbin (wife
Jessica) of Fountaintown, Chris Durbin (wife Erin) of Carthage; step sister Jayne Whittaker of 
Rushville; 6 grandchildren- Cayman, Hanna, Eric, Grant, Nash, and Taylor.  She was preceded
in death by her parents, 2 brothers- Mike Mann & Bill Mann, and step mother Clara Mann.
Mrs. Durbin was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Shelbyville High School
 in 1970.  She was home maker, and had retired from Heritage House Children's Center, after 
23 years as dietary manager.  She was a member of Homer Christian Union Church, where she
was involved with the youth group, and had also served as a past deacon.  
Candy loved cooking, shopping, attending her grandchildren's activities, and spending time with
her family and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral 
Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Scott Sharp officiating.  Burial will be in Manilla Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 4-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Homer Christian Union Church, in care of the funeral
home.
