Cynthia Leclercq Obituary

Cynthia D. Leclercq, 47, of Edinburgh, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at her residence. Born April 12, 1974 in Chicago Illinois, she was the daughter of Oren Sopher 
and Anita (Pasinske) Sopher.  She married Richard R. Leclercq in 2011 and he preceded her on December 3, 2021.

Survivors include her mother Anita Sopher of Shelbyville; 6 children- Samantha Leclercq of Chicago, Peanut Leclercq of Chicago, Michael Leclercq of Shelbyville, Richard Leclercq of Shelbyville, Kyle Leclercq of Shelbyville, Natalie Leclercq of Shelbyville; and a  sister Kimberly Sopher of Chicago.  She was preceded in death by her father and her spouse.

Mrs. Leclercq had lived in this area since 2000, after moving from Chicago.  She attended Kelly High School in Chicago, and was a member of Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church in Chicago.  She was a home maker. Cindy enjoyed visiting friends and family in Chicago, cooking, dancing, and helping and caring for others.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Rev. David Humphrey officiating.  Burial will be in Whispering Hope Cemetery.  Friends may call on Friday morning from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions can be made to Cynthia D. Leclercq Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
