Daniel John Barker

Daniel John Barker, 36, of Nashville, Indiana, passed away in his home on Thursday June 16, 2022.

Daniel was born February 24, 1986, in Indianapolis. Daniel is survived by his mother Angela Long Barker of Indianapolis; Scott Barker and wife, Julie Barker, of Shelbyville; younger sister, Lindsay Barker of Indianapolis; older brother, Jason Barker of Nashville, Indiana; older sister, Michelle Bonadies and two nephews, of Franklin.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Earl and Mary Barker of St Paul, and maternal grandparents John and Marjorie Long of Shelbyville.

Daniel graduated from Shelbyville High School in 2004. That same year, Daniel also became an Eagle Scout. Daniel loved nature and being outdoors. He enjoyed hiking, camping, and sitting around bonfires with friends and family. Daniel also enjoyed cooking out and brewing his own beer. And, when necessary, he loved to tinker with computers to make them run better. Family and friends will always remember Daniel for his bright smile and contagious laughter.

A Time of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, June 25th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Glenn E George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd in Shelbyville.  Any flower arrangements should be sent to the funeral home in Shelbyville.
