Daniel Dean Massey, 70, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 in Sallisaw Oklahoma.
Born April 8, 1951 in Hazard, Kentucky, he was the son of Robert Masseyand Fay (Voyles) Massey. On December 23, 1975 he married Debra (Green) Massey and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons - Brandon Massey (wife Jessica) of Fort Wayne,Indiana, Daniel Massey of Greensburg, Indiana; a brother John Massey (wifeJamie), a sister Patricia Atkins (husband David); and 2 grandchildren Brandon Massey Jr., and Mason "Willie" Massey, both of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers- Robert Massey, and David Massey.
Mr. Massey had lived in Texas for twenty years, after moving from Indiana. He retired from General Motors, and also pastored the Metro Apostolic Church in Dalworthington Gardens, Texas for several years. He was a US Army veteran. Daniel loved fishing, playing music, bargain hunting, assisting and aiding churches all throughout Northern Texas and Southeast Oklahoma, but most importantly he lived every day to serve other people.
Memorial services will be 7:00 pm on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Apostolic Faith Tabernacle, 313 SW 79th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with visitation there from 5:00 pm until the time of the service.
A Celebration of life will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Apostolic Truth Tabernacle, 1114 Westridge Pkwy, Greensburg, IN 47240 with a Gathering of Friends from 5:00 pm until the time of the service.
Burial will be held at 4:00 pm, January 19, 2022 at Veteran's Colony Cemetery in Wilburton, Oklahoma.
