Dayna Marie Neal, 66, of Harris County Texas, passed away July 20, 2021 in
Houston, Texas.
Born June 25, 1955 in Rush County, she was the daughter of Donald and Sylvia
Stotsenberg.
Survivors include her daughter, Sylvia Shorter of Chesapeake, Virginia; her son,
Aaron Shorter of Winchester, Virginia; and her grandson, Anthony Kovacs.  Other
survivors include 7 brothers and sisters- Steven Neal (wife Paula) of Maryville,
Tennessee, Lorraine McCoy (husband Steve) of Houston, Texas, Mona Wickizer
 (husband Greg) of Shelbyville, Fredrick Neal of Greensburg, Michelle Willis (husband
Charles) of Paoli, Scott Neal (wife Sandy) of Indianapolis, and Michael Neal
(wife Vicki) of Greensburg.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ms. Neal graduated from Morton Memorial High School in Knightstown in 1973 and
attended Ball State University in Muncie, where she studied music.
Dayna's passions were playing and singing music, painting and sketching, working puzzles
and word games, motivating and inspiring others, and was an avid reader.  She loved
and cherished her children, grandson, and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at  2:00 pm on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437
Amos Road, with Rev. David Humphrey officiating.  Friends may call on Friday afternoon from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. .
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Shelby County Cancer Association, 
in care of the funeral home.
