Delphia McComas, 86, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at
Aperion Care in Waldron.
Born March 2, 1934 in Russell Springs, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Lilburn
and Julia (Whittle) Meadows. She married Fred McComas in November of 1954
and he survives.
Other survivors include a son Michael F. McComas (wife Rebecca) of Waldron, a
daughter Jill Camp (husband John) of Shelbyville; 4 grandchildren- Brandon Camp
(wife Teresa), Ryan DeVoe, Ashlee Garrett (husband Keith), Conner McComas; and
one great grandchild Lincoln Camp. She was preceded in death by her parents,
daughter Michelle Cook, grandson Will McComas, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Mrs. McComas had lived in this area since 1941, after moving from Kentucky. She
was a home maker, but had previously been an office secretary with the Wilson
Breedlove Agency for 32 years, retiring in 1988. She graduated from Shelbyville High
School in 1952.
Delphia enjoyed quilting and crocheting, working in her yard, and spending time with her
family and grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 11:00am on Monday, March 23, 2020 at Forest Hill Cemetery
with Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
