Donald Clapp Obituary


Donald L. Clapp, 82, of St. Paul, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at
his residence.
Born July 24, 1938 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Roy Lee Clapp and Agnes
(Mount) Clapp.  He married Alice (Maxwell) Clapp on August 26, 1961, and she survives.
Other survivors include 4 sons- Michael Lee Clapp (wife Lori) of St. Paul, Anthony Clapp
of St. Paul, Gregory A. Clapp (wife Susan) of Greensburg, Douglas Clapp (wife Carol)
of Ohio; 14 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Clapp was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1956,
and also graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University.  He had been a chemist/systems analyst
for Eli Lilly, retiring after 27 years of service.  He also helped his father on the farm for many years.
He was a member of the Union Chapel United Methodist Church, and Gideon's International.  He
was a US Air Force Reserve veteran.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Monday, May 24, 2021 at Glenn E. George Funeral Home,
106 E. Franklin St., St. Paul, with Pastor Joyce Barker officiating.  Burial will be in Van Pelt 
Cemetery.  Friends may call on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 7:00 pm, and Monday morning 
before the time of the service, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Union Chapel United Methodist Church, or the Indiana
Wesleyan University (IWU), in care of the funeral home.
