Edwin Donald "Chub" Stohry

Edwin Donald "Chub" Stohry, 92, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, October 23, 2020 at
Franklin Meadows Nursing Home in Franklin, Indiana.
Born August 8, 1928 in Shelby County he was the son of William B. and Lillie (Kuhn) Stohry.
He married Hattie (Dewitt) on August 27, 1952, and she preceded him in death on October 13, 2010.
Survivors include children- Michael Stohry of Indianapolis, Mark (wife Carol) Stohry of Flat Rock,
Douglas (wife Sandra) Stohry of Greenfield, Peter Stohry of St. Paul, Janet (husband Kim) Stillabower of Shelbyville,
Amy (husband Dusty) Roell of Shelbyville; 10 grandchildren- Tricia Criss, Kristin Crawford, Adam Stillabower,
Jami Murdock, Brad Stohry, Chelsea Fink, Josie Roell, Jade Roell, Jillian Roell and Jenna Roell; 11 great
grandchildren- Nathan Criss, Kaitlyn Criss, Lillian Crawford, Quinn Crawford, Hudson Murdock, Wyatt
Murdock, Claire Murdock, Maisie Stohry, Everett Stohry, Cole & Carl Fink. He was preceded in death
by his parents, an infant son, brothers Carl, Charles, Harold & Willard Stohry, sisters- Anna Marie Meredith,
Ruth Huesman, and Ruby Woods and daughter in law Mary Jane Stohry.
Edwin graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1947 and worked at D & S Sales & Service, and
John Deere Quality Equipment in Shelbyville and also farmed. He enjoyed attending the County & State
Fair, watching Draft Horse Pulls, Indiana University Basketball and spending time with his family.
A private family burial will be held at a later date at Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery.
