Emma Doris Esquivel

Emma Doris Esquivel, 85, formerly of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020
at Tower Hill Nursing Home in South Elgin, Illinois.
Born November 10, 1935 in Noble Township, Decatur County, she was the daughter of Ezra Stotsenburg
and Jennie (Jackson) Stotsenburg.  She married Joseph R. Esquivel, Sr. on March 9, 1957, and he preceded
her on December 19, 1999.
Survivors include 11 children- Faith Atchison (Thomas Mudro) of Peotone, Illinois,  Joseph Esquivel Jr.  ( wife Lori) 
of Manor, Texas, Tanya Esquivel of Aurora, IL., 
Mark  Esquivel of St. Charles, IL., Jennifer Esquivel Brennan (husband Gary) of Henderson, Nevada,
Michael Esquivel of Elgin, IL., David Esquivel (wife Michelle) of Elgin, Doris  Gutierrez (husband Gilbert)
of Aurora, Todd Esquivel of Las Vegas, Nevada, April Heppelmann   (husband Howard) of Westwood,
Mass., Duane Esquivel (wife Janah) of New Lenox, IL.; 21 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, daughter Angela Hanus, 3 brothers & sisters- Maurice Stotsenburg, Woodrow
Stotsenburg, and Sylvia Neal.
Ms. Esquivel graduated from Waldron High School in 1953, and had been employed in customer relations at
Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin, IL. for several years, retiring in 2000, and prior to that was with Unical Oil of Elk Grove, IL.
in data processing, for several years.
Emma loved to travel, both at home and abroad, and never knew a stranger.  She was so proud of, and
was always glad to tell everyone that she was mother to 12 children.
Private funeral services will be held at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.
 No public viewing will be observed.  
Public graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Van Pelt Cemetery
in Shelby County, with  Pastor Brandon Sutton officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in care of the funeral home.
