Ethel M. Rainey

Ethel M. (Rady) Rainey, 83 of Shelbyville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019
at Major Health Partners.  She was born the daughter of the late Carl and Lelia (Wilson) Rady.
She married Eldon L. Rainey in December 18, 1958 in Indianapolis, Indiana and he preceded
her in death on August 11, 2011. She was a graduate of  Roachdale High School.
She also was TOPS leader from 1993 to 2017. Ethel was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
She retired from working in the Cafeteria with Shelbyville Central Schools.
Ethel is survived by her sons, Terry Rainey of Shelbyville, Indiana; Gary Rainey of Shelbyville, Indiana;
Tony (Susana) Rainey of Temple, Texas; two grandsons, Brandon Rainey and David Sturm and one
granddaughter, Kristina Garrett;  and many nieces and nephews.  
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Tim Rainey (2012) and a daughter, Eldona Rainey
(1995); five brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be held 11:00AM on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church,
1201 N. Riley Highway, Shelbyville, Indiana with Pastor Jackie Means officiating. In lieu of flowers,
please make a donation to your locl animal charity in her memory.
Glenn E. George and Son Funeral Home, Shelbyville is handling funeral arrangements for Mrs. Rainey.
