Evelyn Marie Sweet

Evelyn Marie Sweet, 91, of Peru, Indiana, passed away Tuesday,
March 16, 2021 at Millers Merry Manor in Peru.
Born January 31, 1930 to Paul and Verly (Zell) Sweet.
Survivors include sibling- Carl (wife Mary) Sweet; several nieces
and nephews; David Sweet, Mark (wife Kelly) Sweet- children of Lawrence (Dorothy) Sweet,
Sue (husband Larry) Theobald, Janice Baker-children of Freda (husband Wayne) Cowen,
Deb (husband Jeff) Wallace, Cheryl (husband Phil) Nordman, Becky (husband Tim) Asher-children
of Carl (wife Mary) Sweet, Sharon (husband Larry) Hawk, Sylvia Applegate (niece-in-law)- children
of Martha ( husband Frances) Applegate, Vickie (husband Jerry) Fletcher, Paula (husband Paul) Bullard, Peggy
(husband Danny) Bowers-children of Paul(wife Mary) Sweet. 
She was preceded in death by siblings: Norma (husband Thomas) Hodge, Florence (wife Ira) Hodge,
Paul (wife Mary) Sweet, Martha (husband Frances) Applegate, Lawrence (wife Dorothy) Sweet, Freda
(husband Wayne) Cowen, and several nieces and nephews. 
Evelyn loved the Lord & was a life long member of Vine Street United Methodist Church in Shelbyville.
In her later years Evelyn attended Evangelical Methodist Church also in Shelbyville. 
After the passing of Evelyn's mother, she cared faithfully for her father & younger brother (Carl) for
many years. Evelyn then worked at Major Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Friday, March 19, 2021 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 
437 Amos Rd, with Pastor Tony Meads officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time
of the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family requests masks to be worn.
