Frances Corine McCarty

Frances Corine McCarty, 80, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022 at her residence.

Born January 10, 1942 in Franklin, she was the daughter of Allen Andrew Wildmone and Della (Clarkson) Wildmone. She married Dennis D. McCarty on August 5, 1962 and he survives.

Other survivors include children-Michael (Lisa) McCarty of Greenwood, Daniel (Dawn) McCarty of Shelbyville, Christopher (Brandy) McCarty of Carmel; brother-Andrew Wildmone of Greenwood; sister- Margaret (Larry) Waterman of Indianapolis;10 grandchildren-Kayla, Westin, Drew, Alivea, Nolan, Johnny, Ryan, Jasmine, Nevaeh, and Preston. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother William Wildmone.

Mrs. McCarty was a lifetime resident of this area and graduated from Waldron High School in 1961. She was a homemaker and attended First Church of the Nazarene. Corine loved wildlife and animals, and had an amazing green thumb. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her family. She was  kind and compassionate to everyone, and never knew a stranger.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
