Frances G. Yarling

Frances G. Yarling, 88, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023 at Greenwood Village South.

Born December 9, 1934 in Edinburgh, she was the daughter of John Henry Kelly and Louella (Cowin) Kelly. 

Survivors include 6 children- Sharon Niblett of Greenwood, Janet Woods (husband Steven) of Indianapolis, Dale Phelps (wife Melissa) of Indianapolis, David Phelps of Manilla, Susan West of Manilla, Karen Simmons of Shelbyville; 6 grandchildren- Jeremy, AJ, Megan, Jessie, Bradley, Nickie; and several great grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers & sisters, grandson Dustin Conover, and son-in-law Josh West.

Mrs. Yarling was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Mt. Auburn High School.  She was a hair dresser at several local salons for 40 years. She attended First Baptist Church. Frances loved flowers and birds, and was a friend to all who knew her. She impacted the lives of each and every person she met.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday morning, from 11:00 am until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
