Gelena Lois "Jean" Brattain, 90, of St. Paul, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at her residence.
Born September 30 1930 in Mooresville Indiana, she was the daughter of Arthur Guyne and Margaret
(Good) Guyne. She married Jerry Gordon Brattain on June 5, 1949, and he preceded her in 2003.
Survivors include 4 children- Diana Brattain of Florida, Fred Brattain (wife Cyni) of Waldron, Theresa Shutters
of St. Paul, Marana Adams (husband Kyle) of Waldron; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 6 great-
great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, a brother- Vernon Guyne, and
2 sisters- Elnita Brattain, and Vera Guyne.
Mrs. Brattain was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Clarksburg High School in 1948. She was
a home maker and care giver. She was a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church, which she and
her husband had helped to co-found in the early 1970's.
Jean enjoyed attending church and church activities, gardening and canning, camping and traveling.
Funeral services will be 6:00 pm on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church, 7414 E.
Michigan Road, Waldron, with Rev. George Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Paul Hill Cemetery. Friends may
call at the church on Monday afternoon from 3:00 pm until the time of the service.
