Geneva Wampler Obituary


Geneva L. Wampler, 83, of Fairland, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at MHP Medical Center.
Born March 14, 1937 in Harlan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of George Ward and 
Ethel May (Collins) Bennett Ward.  She married George Curtis Wampler on June 9, 1956 and
he survives.
Other survivors include 2 sons- Mike Wampler (wife Kathy) of Shelbyville, Randy Wampler (wife
Sylvia) of Franklin; 2 brothers- Clay Ward (wife Judi) of Fairland, Bobby Ward of Columbus, sister
Vickie Jarvis (husband Jim) of Columbus; 3 grandchildren- Amy Beaver (husband Chad), Kyle
Wampler (wife Sabrina), Kristin Mohr (husband Joe); and 9 great grandchildren.  She was preceded
in death by her parents, sister Rosie Eldridge, and   sister-in-law Kathy Ward.
Mrs. Wampler had lived most of her lifetime in this area  after moving from Kentucky.  She graduated 
from Benham High School in Benham, Kentucky, and was a home maker.
Geneva's life was dedicated to her husband, family, and grandchildren.  She was the epitome of a mother
 and home maker.  Her entire life was woven around her family, and giving to others.
Funeral services will be 4:00 pm on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home,
437 Amos Road with Pastor Stacey Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Friends may
call at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 2:30 pm until the time of the service.
