Gerald W. "Greasy" Glackman, 79, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021
at Waldron Health Care.
Born January 24, 1942 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Clark and Dorothy (Hall) Glackman.
He married Marsha Glackman on February 14, 1991 and she preceded him on February 19, 2021.
Survivors include 2 stepchildren- Michael Perkins (wife Becca) of Shelbyville, Michelle Hurley
(husband Hobert) of Shelbyville; a brother Norman "Turtle" Glackman of Shelbyville; 2 step
granddaughters and 2 step grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents and his spouse.
Mr. Glackman had lived in this area his entire lifetime, and graduated from Shelbyville High School
in 1960. He bought, sold, and refinished antiques for several years, and had previously worked in
maintenance at Allison Transmission for 25 years. He was a former member of Moose Lodge.
Greasy enjoyed horse racing, rodeos, horse trading, and buying, selling, and working on old furniture
and antiques.
A family gathering will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made to Shelby County Cancer Association, in care of the funeral home.
