He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Henry Carl Jr., daughter Deena Lynn, and 2 grandchildren, and several brothers and sisters.
Hank owned Russell's Body Shop after buying it from his father-in-law, then opening up Hanks Body Shop when he moved his shop to Elston Drive here in Shelbyville where he continued his wrecker service and body work. He was a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He loved gardening, bowling on his Tuesday night bowling team, playing Euchre, shooting pool with friends and family in his garage, boating and camping down on the Ohio River. He also enjoyed watching his family and others in the backyard pool over the past several years. He loved cookouts, reading Readers Digest and doing crossword puzzles. His favorite foods were Saturday night taco dinners and Barbara's home made spaghetti sauce! His favorite sayings were "Oy vey" and "do you need anything." He was always being helpful to whoever needed him. "Ciao!"
There will be a private gathering at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery following cremation with Glenn E. George and Son Funeral Home handling the arrangements. Donations can be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana of Columbus, IN., in care of the funeral home.
