Ina Ruth (Reynolds) Gosney

Ina Ruth (Reynolds) Gosney, age 90, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021. She was born in Betsy, Kentucky on August 25, 1931, to Narvel and Doshie (Morrow) Reynolds. She married Albert Franklin Kidd on August 9, 1947, and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1955. She married Rex Grover Gosney on November 13, 1965, and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1998.

Ina Ruth retired from KCL, Shelbyville, in 1996. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and the Stitching Sisters Quilt group. She was very proud of the hundreds of quilts she made over the years, including the military quilts her group made and donated to various veterans. She enjoyed spending time with her large extended family, photography, and researching her family genealogy.

Ina Ruth is survived by daughters Linda Perry and Alvina Terrell (James); stepsons Rex David Gosney and Rickey Gosney; grandchildren Christina Montgomery (Ron), Michael Perry (Kelly) , and Kristin Terrell  (Scott);  great-grandchildren Mariah Rosales (Carlos) and Dominique Cox; and several great-great-grandchildren; and brothers Lucian Reynolds (Violet) and Donald Reynolds (Sue).

Ina Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; children Willard, Iva Jane and Archie Kidd; brothers Owen, Lester “Tom”, Glenn, and Willis Reynolds and sisters Perlie Logsdon, Winnie Shepperd, Radie Pendleton, Velma Smith, Wilma Parmley, and infant Margaret Helen Reynolds.

Visitation will be held at Glenn E George & Son Funeral Home, 437  Amos Road, Shelbyville on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon, followed by funeral services at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Van Pelt Cemetery, Waldron, IN.  Pastor Robb Barlow will officiate.
