Jack Conway Obituary


Jack E. Conway, 88, of Waldron, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at his residence.
Born January 21, 1932 he was the son of Russell & Ruth (Spillman) Conway. He married
Drena (Radford) Conway and she preceded him on July 19, 1995.
Survivors include 7 children- Jackie Piercy (wife Terry) of Shelbyville, Mark Conway (wife Diane)
of Ellijay, GA, Jeff Conway of Shelbyville, Kent Conway of Blue Ridge, Jim Conway of Shelbyville,
Angela Winkler (husband Tony) of Shelbyville, Gary Conway (wife Penny) of Flat Rock; 17 grand
children, 8 great-grand children and 5 great-great grand children. He was preceded in death by
his parents, spouse, daughter Terri Tague & 4 brothers & sisters.
Mr. Conway had lived in this area his entire lifetime and was a member of VFW & American Legion.
Jack was a press operator for IPC of Shelbyville for 20 years and also a self employed carpenter for
many years. 
Jack enjoyed rides in the country, fishing, camping, sitting around a campfire, and spending time
with his family. 

A Celebration of Life will be 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Glenn E. George & Son
Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd with Travis Conway officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 until
the time of the service at the funeral home. Military rites will be conducted by a local veterans
organization.
Memorial contributions can be made to OUR Hospice of South Central Indiana in care
of the funeral home.
