Jalna Jo Kellam, 88 of Shelbyville, passed away on November 10, 2021, at Walker House in Shelbyville.
Born in Rush County on December 29, 1932, to Jack and Pauline (Piper) Osterling.
She married Richard L. Kellam in February 1952 and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Rigney R. Osterling and one sister, Franceile A. Gorbett.
Her survivors include a daughter, Sherill A. Brown (Michael) of Fairland; son, Paul E. (Marcia) Kellam of Shelbyville.
Four grandchildren, Amber L. Harshman (Zack) of Shelbyville, Jason E. Kellam (Katie) of Shelbyville, Seth R. (Megan) Kellam of Shelbyville,
Natalie M. Parker of Fairland; seven great grandchildren Harrison Harshman, Abigail Kellam, Madelynn Kellam, Nicholas Kellam, Elaina Kellam,
Elise Parker and Ava Parker.
Jalna lived in this area since 1957, previously she lived in Milroy, IN
She worked as a secretary for 20 years with Duffy-Warble Insurance, retiring in 1989. She also was a secretary for Little Marion Elementary. She was
a graduate from Milroy HS in 1951. She was a member of the First Christian Church, a 50-year member of the Easter Star NAAMAH Chapter #73, PSI IOTA
XI Sorority & Auxiliary of Shelbyville.
Jalna spent time canning and freezing vegetables and fruits, until moving to Walker Place Assisted Living,where she enjoyed playing bingo, euchre and other
games. She also enjoyed coloring and wrapping silverware for her fellow residents at Walker Place, which was always a top priority. Mrs. Kellam also
volunteered at the Major Hospital from 1989 until 2017.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 1:00 PM, November 13, 2021 in Glenn E. George and Son Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Pastor Bill Horner and Pastor Beth Crouch
officiating.
Burial will be held at Moscow Cemetery in Rush County.
Visitation for Jalna will be on Saturday from 11am until the time of the services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
