James A. "Tad" Hawley, 64, of Flat Rock, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Franciscan Health. Born March 5, 1958 in Beech Grove, he was the son of James B. Hawley and Norma
(Brady) Hawley.  

Survivors include his father James B. Hawley and  stepmother Marna (Wilmoth) Hawley of Flat Rock; daughter Melissa Jo Croucher (husband Kevin) of Greensburg, son Justin Hawley (wife Stephanie) of Flat Rock; a sister Tammy "Amora" Scott of Noblesville; 6 grandchildren- Alijah, Cameron, Jenna, Taylor, Brooke ,Quinn; and 4 great grandchildren- Easton, Wilder, Everleigh, and Asher.  He was preceded in death by his mother.

Mr. Hawley had lived in this area his entire lifetime, and graduated from Triton Central High School in 1977. He was a self employed entrepreneur for many years. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene, and Burney Baptist Church. Tad enjoyed cat fishing, restoring Mopar muscle cars, and attending the Tuesday night Livestock Auction with his grandchildren.  He loved operating his backhoe and excavator, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Steve Bohall officiating.  Burial will be in Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery.  Friends may call on Tuesday evening, May 10, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.
