James Hoyt Obituary


James T. Hoyt, 58, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021
at Methodist Hospital.
Born July 10, 1963 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Jerry D. Hoyt and Anna
(Wilcher) Hoyt.  
Survivors include his mother Anna Hoyt of Shelbyville; children- James Eric Hoyt (wife Amanda), daughter Kelli Hoyt,
both of Shelbyville; siblings- Mark Hoyt, Danny Hoyt (wife Rebecca) and sister
Jeri Hughes (husband Brian) all of Shelbyville; grandchildren Richard McCandless
and Austin Hampton. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Bruce Hoyt.
James lived in this area his entire lifetime and graduated from Shelbyville High School
in 1982.  He was a truck driver for XPO Logistics for 9 years and a machine operator for
O'Neal Steel for 13 years. James enjoyed camping, hunting, horseback riding and spending
time with his family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Glenn E. George
& Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd, with Rev. Don Neal officiating. Burial will be  in
Milford Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, September 5, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. 
Memorial contributions can be made to American Lung Association or American
Kidney Fund in care of the funeral home.
