Jeraldine Weakley Obituary


Jeraldine A. Weakley, 81, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 
at her residence.
Born February 27, 1939 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Jack & Kate (Rutan)
Watson. She married Robert D. Weakley on January 23, 1959 and he survives.
Other survivors include 2 children- David Weakley (wife Pam), daughter
Sharon Cooper (husband Dirk) both of Shelbyville; grandchildren- Katelyn Guthrie
(husband Jamin), Levi Weakley, Jillian Burton (husband Zach), Alana Spalding
(husband Seth Bodine); 2 great grandchildren Cameron Spalding & Zoey Wagner.
She was preceded in death by her parents & brother Edward Watson.
Mrs. Weakley was a lifetime resident of this area and graduated from Moral Township
High School in 1957. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a 4H leader 
for several years. Jeraldine was a teachers aide for Shelbyville Central Schools for
10 years and a homemaker.
Jeraldine enjoyed sewing, knitting, making baby afghans and crafts, She was an 
Indianapolis Zoo volunteer and was involved in her church & church activities. She loved
traveling and spending time with her family, grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Glenn E. George
& Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd, with Pastor Wallace Jeffs officiating.  Friends
may call on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to OUR Hospice of South Central Indiana 
in care of the funeral home.
