Jimmie Perry Obituary

Jimmie W. Perry, 84 of St. Paul, IN passed away May 19, 2019 at Major Health Partners/Major Hospital in Shelbyville, IN.

He was born February 20, 1935 in Shelby County, IN the son of the late Floyd W. and Fannie E. (Harrison) Perry.

Jimmie was a US Army Veteran. He worked for over 50 years as a union carpenter with United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America having worked at several different schools in Shelbyville and surrounding counties. He also helped farm the family farm in St. Paul, IN. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother William "Bill" Perry a sister, Ula Greene and a nephew, Lorne Greene. He is survived by his siblings, June (Richard) Thurston of Shelbyville, IN; John (Margaret) Perry of Salem, IN. Nieces Vanessa (Floyd) Ricketts, Michelle (Michael) Klepper. Nephews Harold Greene, Charlie (Robbie) Greene, John A. (Angel) Perry. Several great nieces and nephews and several great, great nieces and great, great nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 4 to 8pm in Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin St., St. Paul, IN. and also one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday. Funeral services will be on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 10AM in Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin St., St. Paul, IN. Officiating will be Rev. Jeannetta Faye Stickford. Burial will be in Boggstown Cemetery, Boggstown, IN.
