Karen Mae Turner

Karen Mae Turner, 76, of Indianapolis, former Shelbyville resident, passed away Tuesday,
October 13, 2020 at Eagle Creek Health Care Center in Indianapolis.
Born June 28, 1944 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Lemuel Handy and Lula Mae
(Woods) Handy. 
Survivors include 2 sons- Greggory Scott Burris (wife Jorgia) of Woodbridge, Virginia, Warren
Allen Burris of Orlando, Florida; 1 sister Nancy Branch of Shelbyville; 2 grandchildren- Israel 
Smith and Malia Burris.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sisters- Betty Smith
and Shirley Render.
Mrs. Turner lived most of her lifetime in Shelbyville, and graduated from Shelbyville High School
in 1962.   She had been a secretary at General Electric/Wellman's where she retired after many 
years of service.
A private burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
