Kevin R. Carter

Kevin R. Carter, 49, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at
his residence.
Born September 19, 1970 in Danville, Indiana, he was the son of Michael Carter 
and Sharon (Baker) Carter.
Survivors include 4 children- Alex Carter of Shelbyville, Shawn Carter of Shelbyville,
Gianna Tennell of Flat Rock, Emily Frazier of Brownstown; 3 siblings- Michelle Carter
of Shelbyville, Melissa Skaggs of Shelbyville, McKayle Carter of Alpena, Michigan; 
and one grandchild Bentley Wilson.  He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Carter had lived in this area his entire lifetime, and graduated from Shelbyville
High School in 1989.  He had been a medic/fireman for 29 years with Marion County
and Shelby County departments.  He was a member of Baptist Temple and the
Blue River Amateur Radio Club.
Kevin enjoyed fishing and his job as medic and fireman.
Private funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Glenn E. George &
Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.  A drive thru visitation will be open to the public
on Monday afternoon from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm under the main entrance portico of
the funeral home.  Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery, Vernon, Indiana, at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Kevin R. Carter Memorial Fund, in care
 of the funeral home.
