Kristy Lynn Smith

Kristy Lynn Smith, 42, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away at her residence on August 2, 2021. 
Born January 27, 1979 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Roger Shepard and Deborah (Dusenburg)
Shepard. 
Survivors include mother Deborah Shepard of Madison, IN; daughter Cheyanne Murrell of Madison; 2 sisters-
Kelly Shepard of Madison, and Kimberly Shepard of Shelbyville, brother- Jeremy Shepard of Shelbyville. She 
is also survived by 2 grandchildren and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her father, her son 
Miley Denney and sister Karri Shepard.
Kristy was a resident of Shelby County for 35 years before moving to Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated 
from Shelbyville High School and was a factory worker at Arvin Sango of Madison. 
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 5:00-7:00pm at Glenn E. George & Son
Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd.
