Laura Inez Leap

Laura Inez Leap, 90, of Flat Rock passed away Tuesday, March
16, 2021 at her residence.
Born October 22, 1930 in Shelby County, she was the daughter of
James and Cecile (Buckler) Harker. She married Maurice W. Leap
on February 18, 1950 and he preceded her on December 4, 2019.
Survivors include children- Angela Carmony Simpson ( Ronald)
of Batesville, Anthony Leap (Paula) of Shelby County, Alan Leap
( Sara) of Shelby County; 8 grandchildren- Addam Carmony (Jill),
Ashley Carmony (Jody), Alicia Carmony Wolford (Josh), Kelly
Leap Lee (Clint), Ryan Leap (Melissa), Josh Scott (Ashley), Rachel
Leap, Hannah Leap; and19 great-grand children. She was preceded
in death by her husband, parents and sister Avonelle Parks.
Mrs. Leap was a lifetime resident of this area and was a homemaker. 
She graduated from Waldron High School, was a member of Geneva
United Methodist Church and was a Bank Teller with
Key Bank/Waldron Bank. Laura enjoyed flowers and family gatherings.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, March 19, 2021 at
Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd, with Rev. 
Darrell Gressel officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 am
until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lewis Creek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Geneva United Methodist 
Church in care of the funeral home.
