Levona Wilson Obituary


Levona I. Wilson, 89, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020
at Heritage House.
Born April 3, 1931 in Russell County Kentucky, she was the daughter of Lester
Stephens and Edith (George) Stephens.  She married Carsie Wilson in 1950 and
he preceded her on October 12, 1988.
Survivors include a son Rex Wilson of Shelbyville; 2 brothers- Edward Stephens
(wife Mary) of Prospect, Kentucky, Roy Stephens (wife Linda) of Sonora, KY.; 2
half sisters- Lisa Roy (husband Tim) of Russell Springs, KY., and Thelma Scott
(husband Rodney) of Russell Springs.  She was preceded in death by her parents,
her spouse, and a sister Romona Bernard.
Mrs. Wilson spent most of her life in this area, after moving from Russell County. 
She graduated from Russell County High School, and was a member of Square Oak
Baptist Church in Ono, Kentucky, and attended Victory Fellowship Church of God in 
Shelbyville.  She had been a factory worker at KCL Corp., retiring after 30 years of
service.
Levona enjoyed attending church, the Bears of Blue River Festival, and going to
the casino to dine out.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2020  at Glenn E. George
and Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Rev. Gerald Holmes officiating.  Burial
will be in McBeath Cemetery in Russell Springs, Kentucky.  Friends may call on Tuesday
morning from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
