Mark LaFary Obituary


Mark R. LaFary, 54, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020 at MHP Medical Center.
Born November 10, 1965 in Groton, Connecticut, he was the son of Clifford "Pat" LaFary and Billie
(Towe) LaFary.  He married Tracy (Bowers) LaFary on March 27, 2004 and she survives.
Other survivors include 4 daughters- Brittany, Jennifer, Brayden & Katie; 3 stepsons- Christopher, Carl &
Jesse; 2 brothers- Twin brother Clark (wife June), Terry (wife Kayce), 2 sisters- Linda Smith (husband Paul),
and sister Sue; and 18 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Larry.
Mr. LaFary had lived in this area for 25 years, after moving from Mooresville.  He was a journeyman
plumber for 25 years, working with several different plumbing companies, including his current employer-
Steg Plumbing of Indianapolis.   He graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1983, and was a US Army
veteran.
Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, and animals.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home,
437 Amos Road, with Dave Carte  officiating.  Burial will be in Bryant Cemetery in Martinsville.  Friends may 
call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Military rites will be
conducted by a local veterans organization.
Memorial contributions  can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, in care of the funeral Home.
